Originally from Belgium and also dubbed as the Barbu de Watermael, they are an uncommon but wonderful little Belgian Bantam Breed! Fitted with a trifed comb, poofy crest and fluffy beard, they are a true rarity. As friendly as can be, their curiosity will capture your heart. They are one of the most loving bantams you’ll raise. Please make note that these are not a “D’Anvers with a crest”. They are very different in body type.

The colors we breed are Quail, Silver Quail, Lavender and occasionally have Black. Our Black, Silver Quail and Lavender eggs will only be listed as they become available as full dozens. Since they are current projects we are working on, there won’t be many to go around this season but should we get an extra or two, it’s possible that they can be included with your order! 🤞🏼

Our Quail Watermaals did well at the Ohio Nationals the last couple of years obtaining Best of Variety, placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I couldn’t be more proud. We work extremely hard on our breeding, rearing, handling and health of our stock and were pleasantly surprised by the honor. Currently, this breed is only recognized by the American Bantam Association but making its way to recognition by the American Poultry Association! It’s certainly exciting to be working towards APA acceptance of this wonderful little breed and look forward to upcoming shows!

Eggs are collected several times a day and properly stored prior to shipping. Your order will include any extras the girls would generously give but is not guaranteed. Eggs are packed with plenty of cushioning to ensure safe arrival.

*Please add a note to your order if you would like your package held for pickup. We strongly recommend that you choose express shipping as well to ensure timely arrival and shorten transit times. We highly suggest that you opt for these available options to minimize chances for egg damage or diminished viability.

• We do not guarantee fertility, hatch rates, offer refunds or replacements. If you are not comfortable taking the risk that naturally comes with shipped hatching eggs or do not understand it, please do not purchase. There are many factors that are not in our control once they are shipped.

• Orders are shipped one batch quantity at a time and in the order they are received. We do not ship more than one batch (plus extras if available at the time of shipping) at any given time. Please keep this in mind if you are attempting to order multiple batches.
